In the corner offices, in the quiet of bedrooms there are whispers of isolationism and even to some, the thought of more liberal socialism as strong solution to turn America around. Some examine the public policy efforts of those by FDR and LBJ as bold leadership in times of great American need. However, I see the FDR public policy initiatives followed by LBJ’s as such liberal mechanisms that fundamentally changed the DNA of our government structure that we now experience today the wounds (economically, morally, and constitutionally) that are so deep and fundamentally flawed that our only hope is to reverse course from this “liberal utopian” form of government that is being perpetuated by America’s democratic machine. We as Americans regardless of religion or belief are coming to a tipping point at a rapid speed. Either we change course and accept the ripping out of liberalism’s slow march to socialism, or we accept it and all the horrors that are accompanied by it. Every day we see capitalism being attacked through not so thinly veiled attempts to hide it under the auspice of “income inequality”, and we see morality under assault through the attacks on “traditional families”, and “traditional values”. We face 17.5 trillion in national debt, we still operate yearly at a 500 billion dollar deficit with the out years growing to a 1 trillion a year deficit spending by 2022, and we have on the order of magnitude 127 trillion dollars in unfunded liabilities. What does that mean and how could we solve it? According to a recent Forbes article, “raise income taxes by 17 percent; raise payroll taxes by 24 percent, cut federal purchases by 26 percent, and cut Social Security and Medicare benefits by 11 percent”. You combine this with our trade deficit of 42.3 billion dollars in February, International tensions in Israel, Egypt, Syria, Korea, China, Japan, Ukraine, etc. and the citizens of America seem interested only in the escapades of Hollywood. Honestly, I think we are all examining symptoms of a much larger problem, an America that has lost touch with God because He became optional as we all got too comfortable in the 90’s. There was a decade of economic booming, virtually no war, and no real civil problems to think of. The news was filled with random musings of President Clinton’s escapades with a cigar and not much else. We had the World Trade center in ’93, and Oklahoma City, but terrorism was something that happened in Somalia and Lebanon. We pulled away from “Church” because we got consumed with making more money, enjoying technology booms, and really discovering the internet and cell phones. It propagated itself because now those generations of teenagers are running the world. They gave their kids iphones, ipads, garage door openers, and easy-mac dinners. Parents began giving up on each other because the commitment was too hard, the demands to high, and the exit to easy. All while God waited in the wings. Churches became “cliquey”, and we became more concerned with piousness than we did about community, fellowship, and humility. We watched as “Rome” caught fire, and failed to live as if the world would end today. The days of Billy Graham’s messages of hell, fire, and brimstone are a long lost memory that you can now watch on YouTube in the comfort of your pajamas while eating popcorn. We are now experiencing a world that put God on a shelf for over a decade and they have forgotten life before they put Him in the box. We toy with the idea of pulling Him off the shelf, but people got used to Him being there. So now we don’t pray in school, and kids and companies have to fight for religious freedom in the courts instead of them being inalienable rights endowed by the Creator we put on the shelf a decade ago. We are

RESOLUTION OPPOSING MEDICAID EXPANSION The following Resolution was adopted by vote of the Hudson Republican Committee executive council at a special meeting, on Tuesday, March 4, 2014: Whereas the Hudson Republican Committee finds that the Republican Party Platform clearly opposes the federal Affordable Care Act and the expansion of Medicaid in any form; Whereas certain efforts of the General Court, which would accept Expanded Medicaid funding, unavoidably conflict with our Republican Party Platform; Whereas the Hudson Republican Committee finds that accepting some Expanded Medicaid funding now will inevitably result in the adoption of full, Expanded Medicaid in the near future. Resolved, that the Hudson Republican Committee: 1. Declares its support of the Republican Party Platform, which opposes the federal Affordable Care Act and the expansion of Medicaid in any form including efforts of the General Court to accept any Expanded Medicaid funds. 2. Instructs the Committee officers to inform the New Hampshire Republican Party, the New Hampshire State Senate, and the New Hampshire State House of this resolution, and urges all Hudson Republican Committee members to make this decision known to all of our elected officials. The New Hampshire Republican Party, State Senate, and State House leadership have been informed, as the resolution requires.
Recently, Hollywood hosted the 56th Annual Grammys. My problem with what I saw was the gross realization that Hollywood is dictating culture and the output of that is state and federal legislation not based on the good of the country but on pop culture’s whim. Frankly, I don’t like having someone shove things down my throat and tell me that if I don’t like it, then I’m a bad person. If I detect the influence at 31, I can only imagine the effect on younger generations. From what I can see, Hollywood is a cesspool of deviant behavior, failed marriages, and superficial vanity like that of the Kardashians. I really don’t think Americas cultural future should be set and influenced by the likes of Kanye West and Madonna. This is the same Madonna that just recently tweeted out racial slurs and stood on stage promoting the enlightenment of gay marriage and trans-sexuality. Truthfully, “Gay marriage” is a place holder for any given topic because I think of the destruction “Hollywood” has had in the lives of little girls who have looked at anorexic super models and thought “I’m not pretty unless I look like that” and little boys who grew up indoctrinated into misogyny by “artists” who songs about women as nothing more than “sluts and hoes” or have grown up watching their TV icons preach how fun it is “getting high”. This is the same Hollywood that now says a mom and mom using a turkey baster to get pregnant is the new normal and declares a cultural war for all who oppose it. The root of my fear and apprehension is not the reality of guys kissing guys; it’s the long term cultural death that we as a society are suffering. We all think the world has gone mad and that “America” isn’t what we remember; yet no-one is willing to put their finger on why. The moral fiber of America is broken apart by failed fathers who abandon their children, 91 million people unemployed, 50+% divorced families, 55 million dead babies, legalized narcotics, a “dead God’, over crowed jails, 17 trillion in debt and now we want to hang our hats as “good people” on how accepting we are of gay marriage and trans-sexuality? I worry that if we don’t take a stand now for normal non-deviant behavior then will our children have anything to inherit? Is this the future we want to give them? Have we moved so far away from center that there isn’t even a right and wrong anymore? It breaks my heart to watch my nation’s soul die in the name of “progression” while we sit captivated by the escapades of Justin Bieber. -js
Over the past 13 years we have sent more than 2.5 million of our men, women, and children to wars in faraway places for causes we may not fully appreciate. Our nation’s most precious treasure(s); stood tall and proud and were willing to bleed to defend our way of life regardless of the political arena that stood in the wings. These are our husbands, our wives, our only sons, and our baby girls. They are single mothers, and widowed fathers who felt compelled and willing to fight for a people they never knew and to bleed for the ones they left at home. We owe them a debt we cannot pay and should never forget. According to Thursday’s Department of Veteran affairs homelessness data, they identified that over 50,000 of our heroes from Iraq and Afghanistan now roam the streets without a warm bed to lay there weary bodies. Furthermore, according to the most recent employment data these same vets between the ages of 18-34 now face an unprecedented 29% unemployment rate. That means of the 4 people we all know who served, more than 1 of them has no income. In Shaheen’s America, she envisions a bright future where foreign nationals enjoy welfare, jobs, and lower tuition rates, while the blood of the patriots rot in the streets, homeless and penniless. New Hampshire’s finest Senator voted again to strip away at the sacrifice of our children’s honor earned on foreign battlefields in favor to those who hide behind government provision. Shaheen must go! -js
Independent Journal Review posted a video from a recent town hall meeting in which US Congress Rep. Kuster is asked about the tragedy of the four Americans murdered in Benghazi and her answer is “I am not hear to talk about Benghazi, I am here to talk about the Middle East”. When asked specifically to comment on pending legislation in the US House, H.Res.36 – 113th Congress (2013-2014) she actually denied there is House legislation on this topic. Whoever was hosting the town hall for the Democrat Representative was very eager to come to Kuster’s defense. The fact that four Americans were murder at the US Consulate in Benghazi Libya (Middle East) is not important to Annie Kuster. The fact that any consulate is considered sovereign territory of the U.S. is of no importance to Annie Kuster. The fact that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was aware of the attack as it unfolded over a seven hour period and the attack was being monitored in real time by the US State Dept. is of no importance to Annie Kuster. The fact that the Obama administration sat by and did nothing while these four Americans were killed is of no importance to Annie Kuster. The fact that two of the murdered Americans were US Military veterans, even though Kuster is on the House Committee on Veteran Affairs is of no interest to Annie Kuster. What is important to Annie Kuster is getting reelected in November of 2014. To me the real question is, are there enough voters in the NH 2nd Congressional District, and in particular Hudson, that our outraged enough over Annie Kuster to vote her out of office? -Bryan Donovan
